Good food, very good portions, good place for comfort food. Service was prompt. They did a good job of accommodating our large group of 12. Very short wait considering. Did not have to wait for food or drinks, coffee, water and soft drinks were refilled regularly. Had the chili and cheese omelet special, very tasty. Bery good biscuits and gravy. Will definitely go again if we are in the area.

I have become a regular here because everything about it is so good! The food is the best diner fare, I've never had anything that wasn't delicious. My favorites are the Popeye Omelet and the Double Up breakfast. All of the wait staff is excellent and friendly, they all take wonderful care of my family. The atmosphere is a casual, clean, small-town diner. If you're looking for a diner to become a regular spot, this is it!

I bring my infant son with me every time I come. The staff are always happy to see him, and we regularly see other families with babies or small children. High chairs are available and there is a kids menu, but the restroom doesn't have a changing station.
Wheelchair accessibility
The restaurant is all one level with a small threshold at the front door, and curb cuts make easy access from parking into the sidewalk. Outdoor seating in the front is more accessible due to the size and shape of the restaurant. The interior aisles may not be wide enough to comfortably accommodate a wheelchair sitting at the end of a booth and leave room for people to walk behind.

Solid breakfast joint. Definitely aged, but gives it some charm. Pretty affordable relative to other places and the portions are larger.
Food was okay. Nothing wowed me. Coffee was pretty good. Service was friendly, just lacked a little promptness. I am used to having my coffee refilled every 5 minutes at most diners. My cup ran out a couple times here.
I recommend this place for a simple and easy breakfast option. We were here on a Sunday morning and I expected it to be packed but we got a table immediately and the place sort of cleared out around 9 AM. Guessing it would pick back up a little later.

Parking
There is limited street parking out front and then a lot of around the side in the strip mall connected. Can imagine parking gets tough as this and other businesses get busy.
Kid-friendliness
Staff was friendly to our 3.5 year old. Booths work pretty well for keeping a toddler contained.

Wonderful breakfast this morning! Quaint neighborhood diner, with 15-20 minute waits during peak service times. Mid-morning to when most Sunday church services are finishing. Servings were more than enough and the pancakes were HUGE! Boardwalk omelet is a Denver omelet on steroids = delicious. My breakfast tomorrow! Great diner in Webster Groves neighborhood, lovely place!

I got the Farm Fresh Eggs. I chose 2 scrambled eggs, 3 sausage links, hash browns, and 2 wheat toast. The eggs were cooked nicely. Their sausage links had to much sodium. What am I saying but it was noticeable to me. The hash browns needed another minute on the grill. Cozy little cafe that’s showing its age. Street parking in front of the cafe and a parking lot 30 yards south of cafe.

It was definitely hopping but they still served our food in record time, compared to chain breakfast places. I mentioned this to our server and she said "we don't mess around here". That's the truth. The food was amazing and so reasonably priced. I highly recommend Boardwalk Cafe. This is our new Sunday breakfast eatery!!!

It was a Sunday morning and my first visit. This place was hopping and we, party of two, were added to the wait list. I’d say we waited about 10 minutes and got seated. Our waitress (didn’t catch the name) but I should have asked because she was awesome. She was super busy, like unbelievably busy but knew the menu and still took time to answer a few questions without making us feel rushed or like it was a bother. She was cute, funny and polite!
The food did not take long to prepare and came out piping hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly and sat atop a mound of chili, hamburger patty, and hash browns that covered the entire plate. Holy sh!t!! It looked good and tasted good.
The Boardwalk Cafe is now at the top of my list. They knocked my original 1st place to number 2. I’ll be back for sure!

The fries were a little over done. The hamburger was excellent and good sized. All portions were huge. The staff are very friendly. Our waitress was really good. One of the best we have had in a long time.
